How languages work on a call
Each assistant starts every call in its main language: English, for example. You choose up to four more languages it may switch to. When a caller answers in Spanish, or asks to speak French, the assistant continues in that language, with the same information, rules and tone.
Messages, transcripts and summaries reach you in your dashboard, so you can follow every call even when it wasn't in your language.
Who it helps
- Businesses in the USA with Spanish-speaking customers, without hiring bilingual staff for the phone.
- Businesses in Canada answering in English and French.
- Practices, firms and agencies in Europe serving expats, tourists and international clients.
- Anyone whose callers sometimes give up because nobody understands them.
What stays the same in every language
The assistant answers from the information you wrote, in whichever language you wrote it, and follows the same rules: it doesn't guess, takes messages, books appointments on Growth and Pro, and transfers callers to your team when needed. Every greeting says the caller is talking to an AI assistant and that the call is transcribed, in the language of the call.
Languages it doesn't speak
RingLily speaks these seven languages only. Callers who speak another language, for example Chinese, Arabic or Ukrainian, can be transferred to your team or leave a message in one of the seven. Tell the assistant in your rules what to do in that case.
